[livejournal.com profile] packratfromhell has presented a strong argument that I was wrong in taking such glee at the prospect of the annihilation of "The Big Three." She is arguing from three premises, the first of which is incontrovertibly true. They are:

1. Roger Smith is one of the most colossal fuck-ups in the history of corporate America.
2. Because cars cannot be patched like software, Detroit is being perfectionist about some projects it is in my best interests to see on the road.
3. The "bailout" is a loan, which will be paid back.

I'm still not entirely convinced, but I will now allow that perhaps I was wrong.

Why am I telling you this? It just seems intellectually honest to acknowledge a differing view. Plus, I'm bored and feeling sorry for myself. :)
