Jan. 26th, 2007 01:57 amWell, dang. I got about three hours of sleep since the last time I posted. Fmeh.
I don't treat LJ as a form of written communication, really. Or email, either. I tend to transcribe what I am thinking as if I were speaking to you, for the most part. Sometimes I get a bit formal, but I do that in speech too. I put in commas and ellipses and a bunch of other tics to mimic speech tics and pauses and such. It seems weird now that I think about it, but I think I do it so I won't just clam up and write nothing.
I think I might keep comment threads going longer than I really should. I need to watch how many times I reply in other people's journals. Or maybe I don't. Fmeh.
One problem with thinking of this as a spoken conversation is that it is really hard to get a sense of the room. I have no idea what kind of mood anyone who reads this is in.
*waves*
I hope you're in a good mood.
