It's okay, because I actually believe this one, and I'm not just saying it to bait the LJ gnomes.

Well, I know we can draw a cartoon of it and it will be protected speech.

I'm not sure if we can animate it or not, especially if the animation is photorealistic.

And, insofar as the act depicted is illegal, and "violence against the President" is specifically mentioned in the post I saw, I don't think we can write a story about it and post that story on LJ, because Six Apart is run by craven wussbags.

Lawsuits? Bad publicity?

I understand the position that child porn is bad. Unfortunately, I find myself insisting that there's child porn, and then there's child porn. And, as Six Apart widens the scope of content they consider objectionable, I get more and more ticked off.

This reminds me of "bong hits 4 Jesus." I worry about the chilling effect of policies like this one. I know Six Apart is a private firm, and they don't have to be concerned with my free speech rights. As a customer, I want them to afford me the freedom to shoot my mouth off anyhow.
