And, insofar as the act depicted is illegal, and "violence against the President" is specifically mentioned in the post I saw, I don't think we can write a story about it and post that story on LJ, because Six Apart is run by craven wussbags.

I understand the position that child porn is bad. Unfortunately, I find myself insisting that there's child porn, and then there's child porn. And, as Six Apart widens the scope of content they consider objectionable, I get more and more ticked off.
This reminds me of "bong hits 4 Jesus." I worry about the chilling effect of policies like this one. I know Six Apart is a private firm, and they don't have to be concerned with my free speech rights. As a customer, I want them to afford me the freedom to shoot my mouth off anyhow.
