I have some idea why I identify with Cyclops so much, but it still doesn't really make any sense to me. He looks a little like me, if you take into account that only one of us is a cartoon. I don't know why I always hated Wolverine, so very very much, even when he was just a villain for the Hulk, but I did.
I understand why I identify with Spike, and Cyclops, and Miles Vorkosigan, but why Edmond Dantes? (Why Edmond Dantes but not Batman?) Why Eddie Dean? Why not Sam Klayman? Why Reed Richards but not Tony Stark? Why Inigo Montoya and not Westley, who gets the girl? Is it a sign of some deep psychological damage that I would rather be the Flash than Superman, who can do anything? Why did I always want to see someone whale the stuffing out of the Cluracan? Or, given that I like Spike so much, why do I loathe, despise and abominate John Constantine?
(If I were having relations with Emma Frost, I'd never leave the house.)
