jmatonakUS drug laws are stupid. I would like to take this opportunity to call for the legalization (and consumption) of marijuana and ecstasy (MDMA). While I personally do not endorse the consumption of heroin, cocaine, or LSD, I see no reason not to legalize these substances as well.
One problem with these LJ-baiting entries is that it's extremely easy to think of dozens of them, but if I include more than one statement in a given post, it throws off the "experiment." I can't resist one more, though.
When I was a teenager, teenagers liked to get high and have sex. I assume they still do. If real teenagers want to do it, but fictional teenagers don't, it makes the fictional teenagers seem a lot less real than they otherwise would. Depiction of an illegal act is not tantamount to an endorsement of that act.
