I thought for a while Ricky lived and lied, but I'm too devious for my own good.
I liked Mr. Crane, the chief minion guy. I'm not saying he was a "good guy" or even a good person. But he was fun, and I especially liked the "oh no you don't!" when the Super Hypnotic Bluetooth went off.
I liked the final scene with Pete. I even liked seeing the weirdness of it all pop a vital fuse in his brain and cause him to stagger off. That was well acted- he's been a good sport and a "good bloke" through some really excessively weird events, and that last twist visibly wrecks something behind his eyes.
I was a bit surprised Mickey could be allowed to stay behind, but apparently he could.
Can't think of anything I didn't like, except the Doctor and the Lumic Cyber-Controller Thingy only did the first two steps of a familiar argument about imagination. But that's in the vein of not seeing as much as I wanted, so it's no fair to complain. Oh, wait, the exploding Cyberman head sucked. But in a super short scene way, so there's that.
The TV monster looks really cool, although a bit meta. Or, I am overthinking it.
I guess I should dip a toe into the wider fan community as it now exists. But I can already tell that there are going to be pro-Rose and anti-Rose factions, possibly with cute animal names. I don't know if I am up to it.

heart wrenchinglogical at the end. Although it would have been really incredible to have Mickey faking Ricky and having The Doctor know.As far as fandom....
::sigh::
Rose does seem to be a bit polarizing - across the board. Sane and insane fandom factions alike.
And there is a very large fanpoodle contingent, isn't there?. The wee British girls squeeing very loudly (particularly at
Off lj Outpost Gallifrey seems to be the place to roll. A lot of ljr's participate in the forums and have chatted up the show's writers more than once. Like I said, everyone ends up at OG eventually. It's the motherboard.
Of course, you probably know a lot of this in which case...delete! delete!

I like Rose. In both a hubba-hubba way and in a more platonic way. (Although those two things are very, very difficult to disentangle... you know how it is.) And I fear getting sucked into something like the old Spike thread. But the new show is so, so excellent that ultimately I know I'm going to go all fannish over it.
Rose is dreamy. Sigh. (It was a bit odd to watch Confidential this week. Billie Piper has a much more jaundiced view of Rose than I do.)
