Request for Clarification
Mar. 15th, 2006 11:43 pmWhat is a "woobie?"
I am familiar with the use of the word to mean a security blanket, pacifier, or pet chew toy. There is a fannish use of this word connected to characters, and I don't understand it. Does it mean someone who needs a woobie? Does it mean someone who's all hippie and touchy-feely? Does it mean someone who's all flagrantly broken and emoting and dramatic about what bad shape they are in or what bad news they are for other people?
Please advise.
